I sit back in amazement many days just watching my 8 month old, Aiden. Less than a year ago I remember standing in our garage crying to my husband, scared to death that when Aiden was born I wouldn't love him as much as I love Addyson. I couldn't imagine loving another child that much.
Then it happened, just hours before my due date the contractions commenced. A short time later I was snuggling my sweet baby boy in my arms and there was no longer any doubt about my love for him. I loved him just as much as his big sister and he steals my heart all over again day after day.
Lately he has developed such a comical personality. Most times it seems to be his goal to make his Mama laugh. He knows that when he sucks in his lower lip, grins and raises his eye brows he will get a laugh from me every time. So he does it. Again and again and again. What I most love is getting him to smile or laugh. He especially loves when I sing the batman theme song and tickle him. Some days I wonder if the neighbors can hear him laughing.
Yesterday I set him in his high chair and walked out of the room for a minute. Upon returning I found Aiden sitting there perfectly content, just going through the mail which he had snatched from the counter. He looked like such a little man, very serious about the flier in his hands. I couldn't help but laugh as he let me take the rest away but was very intent on keeping that particular piece of mail.
I thank God for my children every day. We have been so blessed to have healthy, happy, sweet little ones. These sweet ones are my reason many days. Although we have easy days and rough days I wouldn't give up even a moment of any of those days.
