German Potato Salad (A recipe from Mom)
1/2 lb bacon
1 slightly beaten egg 1 t. sugar 1/4 t. pepper 1/2 c. chopped onion |
1 c. vinegar
1/4 c. water 1 t. salt 5 cups diced cooked potatoes |
Cook bacon crisp then crumble. Combine bacon drippings with egg, sugar, pepper, vinegar and salt. Heat on medium and stir until thickened. Add potatoes, onions and bacon. Toss and heat through. Enjoy!
